A view from the eastern end of South Dock at the commercial and residential high rise buildings that now grace the ever expanding skyline of Canary Wharf in London, England. Once the thriving West India Docks located on the Isle Of Dogs. After the 1960s, when cargo became containerized, port industry began to decline, leading to all the docks being closed by 1980. After a long period of inactivity the sites development began in earnest from 1997 onwards and it has been growing outwards and upwards ever since.
