The de Havilland DH.100 Vampire coming in to land during an air show. It is a British jet fighter developed during WW2 to harness the newly developed jet engine, and its first to be powered by a single jet engine. The South African Airforce (SAAF) operated the DH.115 Vampire as primarily a trainer, with a period of service stretching from 1953 to 1978.
