This group of Trumpeter Swans took off directly towards me, scattering the ducks in a panic. The lone swan to the right is a Mute swan, identifiable by the orange bill. They also tend to hold their wings higher than Trumpeters, as in this pic.Note the yellow wing tags on the swan in flight on the right.
If anyone sees a tagged swan and can get the tag number, it would be appreciated if you call it in with date and location to the Trumpeter swan restoration project at 905-727-6492. Thanks.
