Bluebells are a "thing" in Belgium. Every Spring, they appear in large swathes and cover the floor in certain forests.

Photographers flock to the scene in droves and take zillions of photos of said bluebell carpets.

I dislike being in a crowd, especially during a pandemic, and refused to trek to the forests to see the bluebell carpet. Instead, i stuck to the park just around my house.

And lo and behold, there she was, this lonely stem of a bluebell, growing right next to a fallen birch tree... and there were no crowds of people to trample everything underfoot to get a photo (i didn't, either).

Enjoy!
