Ms. Mossley is named after the moss growing on her back. She is a Coastal Plain Cooter turtle who lives in the canal behind our house. She made her way into our backyard, likely on her journey for a good nesting site. We became fast friends with her even allowing me to pet her. Taken June 17, 2012.
