A once in a lifetime opportunity, this Sharpie was atop the bush in front of my residence when I went to exit the door. I backed up, searched for my handheld camera, but the battery was dead. The last choice was the 500mm on the tripod, but it was feared that would put me too close with nowhere to go, as the area was cramped. Lady Luck smiled upon me, as the raptor jumped into the bushes to grab for an alarm-calling House Sparrow , but the sharpie returned to its perch. After firing off a few shots, I hoped for an action shot, and the small hawk flew after one of the sparrows that fled the area. Both disappeared in an instant, but my prize had been captured, which is the end result.
