I was determined to shoot Comet Neowise over the geyser basin as I felt the steam would add to the etherial effect of the image. The boardwalk was ver crowded during the first eruption after dark and the lighting was crazy as each person tried to add their own light to the scene. Frustrated, I simply waited another two hours for the 'after midnight' eruption and only shared the boardwalk with my friend and a ranger. No added light was used as the yellow bulbs on the lodge was plenty to capture this image!
