Berlin began as a village in the early 1790's in Eastern Maryland, about 15 miles inland from the Atlantic ocean. It seems to be a dormant place but offers a lot of charm and MD scenic byways. It prides itself to have a historic district and be called 'America's Coolest Small Town' ! Population: approx. 5,000 inhabitants.
