This and the other 1930 - 1940's images in my gallery are the "positives" I created from my photos of the negatives of family photos I acquired from my grandmother, then manipulated in various ways. There are, of course, easier ways to convert film negatives to digital than photographing the negatives, but this worked for me. I liked the resultant subject matter as well as the various textures and period context, as well, of course, as the family connections and history represented. I also like the idea of converting "negatives" to "positives" as a general principle!
