We have a lot of smoke in the air from the Brisbane council burning controlled burns in the parks. During sunrises and sunsets, we are seeing a lot of red color from the smoke traveling to the coast. This smoke has provided beautiful, awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets, as the red hues of the smoke reflect off of the horizon.

Turn off to Alice Springs. 1000 k's of dirt road. Mostly desert. Sign written on old car bonnet.

Because of the large distances between places in the Australian outback, councils have put in or allowed overnight rest stops. Good on them!
