We stumbled on the June Lake/Silver Lake area on a car trip home to southern California from San Francisco. It was early fall, and the aspens were turning yellow. It was a perfect day for fishing (note the man floating to the right) and the lake was calm. I'd never seen aspens before except in pictures.
