These pillars are holding up a freeway while reflecting in the water the below. The sun is also reflecting off the water giving a shimmer that creates patterns of light and shadow and the sunlight danced on them and the bottom of the freeway itself. The affect was mesmerizing and creates a unique optical illusion that is almost Escher like.
