A special thanks to guest judge Randy Kokesch. Randy Kokesch is an award winning nature and landscape photographer based in Manitoba, Canada. Randy started using a camera at a young age and quickly developed a passion for outdoor photography. He has photographed wildlife throughout North America. Randy feels most at home when he is knee deep in snow, standing in the rain or hiking in the mountains, capturing animals in their element or the beauty of breathtaking landscapes. His photography has won many awards and has photos published in Canadian Geographic, Our Canada Magazine, National Geographic, Cottage Life Magazine and more.

"Mist and drizzle can appear somewhat menacing in it’s eeriness, at the same time it can exude a sense of tranquility and quiet peacefulness. The silhouette and shape of the trees, and the light rays filtering through the mist does exactly that. The trail draws you into the photo, appearing somewhat threatening while the warmth of the light rays create a quiet peaceful mood. The photo captures the imagination with it's sense of eeriness and wonderment as to what lies beyond. The image has what a good photo should have, it has great lighting and color, captures emotion and leaves something to the imagination. The exposure is perfect as is the composition. Your eye starts at the top left and moves to the large hill on the top right, then your eye is drawn back into the centre of the photo as the bottom layer moves you back to the top.
