We love celebrating the creativity of the community and this photo is not exception. Here is something we can learn from french commercial photographer Eric_Dany about the techniques and story behind this awarded photo.

VB. Where did you take this photo?

Eric. In Paris, at the Palais de Tokyo, during a fire breathing Airbnb Experience with master fire breather Andrey Das. I took this shot at night, the best time for fire photography.

VB.  Anything worth sharing about lighting?

Eric. The light comes 100% from the fire;  the most elementary form of light there is, and one of the most beautiful one too.

VB. What equipment did you use?

Eric. Nikon D750, 24/70 f/2.8 zoom lens

VB. What inspired you to take this photo?

Eric.  Lana Kong, the girl breathing fire here, is from New Zealand. It was her first time doing this just after Andrey Das taught her the basis. She was extremely easy with the flames, as if she has done that this her entire life, fearlessly. From all the people who attended our Airbnb experience, she was one of the most skilled so far.

VB. What equipment do you normally have in your bag?

Eric. Same Nikon D750, 24/70 f/2.8 zoom lens
