The Daisy is officially called Leucanthemum. The wild version is called (Leucanthemum vulgare), and can be seen from the roadside, where it blooms happily there in early summer.
Leucanthemum is derived from the ancient Greek words leukos = white and anthemon = flower, and refers to the white flowers of the daisy.
