Reformed Church; tower brick building, lower part late Romanesque with pilasters and arch friezes, upper part late gothic.
Tower from the 14th century. The then village church was dedicated to St. Michael. The later name was Brinkkerk.
For various reasons, the Reformation in Schalkwijk never really got a foothold. To this day, the village is predominantly Roman Catholic. The reformed congregation has always remained small.
