Behind The Lens

Location

Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Where I was born and raised.

Time

It was Noonish.

Lighting

The lighting was good, not too much overcast. I find overcast makes for some boring photos. This sky had the best of both worlds, a hint of blue and some cloud streaks.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mk IV w/ 16-35 F2.8L

Inspiration

I love talking photos in cities, especially in the downtown area. The man in that photo is the reason why I am a photographer today. He once showed me a picture he took of the mountains. It looked so cool. Shortly after I bought my own camera. I am now on my 5th camera.

Editing

Yes! Normal blue skies are boring! So I changed the hue at the colour mixer in Photoshop. I have been doing that for almost all of my photos. I also upped the saturation of all colours.

In my camera bag

I don't really carry a bag with me anymore. I just bought a hand strap for my camera. This is a game changer. The camera is in your hands at all times, so you are more likely to capture photos than if your camera is just dangling from a shoulder strap.

Feedback

Buy a hand strap for your camera!
