Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in an area where you can easily walk both between the dunes and on the beach and into the forest.

Time

The owners, their dog and I went to this place in the morning. I think it was around six or seven o'clock.

Lighting

I usually shoot against the sunlight. Because we were taking pictures early in the morning, the sun was not yet at its highest, which resulted in this beautiful lighting.

Equipment

Canon 1D X and Sigma 105mm F/1.4 DG HSM Art

Inspiration

I didn't have an exact source of inspiration for taking this photo. I mainly found it beautiful how the lighting was at this location.

Editing

I did not do a lot of post-processing. just a few tweaks and the photo was good to go!

In my camera bag

Canon 1D X, Sigma 105mm F/1.4 DG HSM Art, Canon 70-200mm F/4.0 USM, Canon 50mm F/1.8 STM, some dog snacks and equipment to clean my camera and objectives.

Feedback

Try to get up early in the morning and experiment with positioning the subject in a certain lighting setting.
