Location
In the Kruger National Park. We were on our morning game drive and this zebra was standing perfectly for the shot.Time
When we were visiting the Kruger National Park with my sister and her family. We used to get up early and go for a game drive. Then back to the camp to have breakfast and pack up to move onto the next camp. This shot was in the morning after leaving the camp to move onto the next one. This zebra looked so inquisitive I had to photograph him as he seemed to be saying "Can I help you?".Lighting
A nice bright sunny morning, quite early so the sun was not too high and the contrast nice.Equipment
I was using my Nikon digital camera D5100 and took this shot at 1/60 at f3. No tripod or flash. We were in our car but I had a good seat enabling me to get the shot.Inspiration
This zebra looked so inquisitive I had to photograph him as he seemed to be saying "Can I help you?". He was standing at a good angle to see his nicely shaped body.Editing
Once I got home, I processed the RAW shot in Photoshop and cut out the background and then placing it on one of my wood backgrounds that I collect. I then changed it to black and white. I was pleased with the result. In my camera bag
When travelling, just my Nikon D5100 camera, and two lenses. The 50mm and my Sigma 18 - 250mm zoom lens. I find this lens very handy for most of the shots I want to take.Feedback
Take as many shots as you can and fill the frame unless you want some of the background. Always shoot in RAW as you get the most information on the shot.
