March thru May in the Northern Hemisphere is the "Galaxy Season" , where the position of our own galaxy tucks low on the horizon during the night and allows us to see into all the other galaxies in the sky. Because our galaxy band sits low during the night, there aren't as many nebulae to go after for prolonged exposures. However, there are still nuggets to be found if you look southward around the Orion Constellation...you should get about 3-4 hours worth of data per night.
