Behind The Lens

Location

I take this image at an orphanage in 2018. I took a project from a client, but due to some problem, they dropped the photography project. But I took a couple of shots there and chose this photo as I love the brightness and contrast of the photo.

Time

This was taken in the afternoon in 2018 before lunch as they are preparing lunch of over 56+ kids of the orphanage.

Lighting

Whenever I take photos, I try to see through the camera's eyes what the scene is trying to convey. And in this photo I found this kid sitting alone and waiting for his friends to come. Maybe we can understand how sad his life is, as he has neither seen his father nor his mother.

Equipment

I used Nikon D7100, as this was my first camera.

Inspiration

His face and his loneliness in his eyes.

Editing

Yes, I took the photo and in Photoshop I do some corrections of curves, and brightness & contrast, and the last thing I do, I convert the colorful image to black and white to portray the life of this kid.

In my camera bag

I am having the camera with the kit lens, that's all.
