Behind The Lens
Location
It's Rosa Khutor, Krasnodarskiy region, Russia. That was two-way road with no parking space, with rocks from one side and cliff from another. I was heading back from mountains and for a split second spotted this scene between the trees. I kept driving for a few more minutes thinking about it and the fact, that there was no way to park the car without blocking one of the lanes. As you can see, I decided to try.Time
It was an end of the snowy January day, somewhere around 5 p.m.Lighting
It was absolutely cloudy day with no chance of the sun, but suddenly, during the golden hour, sun broke through the clouds and started to light the canyon in some magical way. Mix of shades of purple, Gray, blue, pink, all of it blended together into something beautiful.Equipment
Fuji X-T3 with kit lens XF 18-55 OISInspiration
As I mentioned earlier, this was completely unexpected and unplanned, but the scene, the light, the snow, all was so beautiful that I couldn't resist.Editing
There was two ski lifts lines crossing the shot from one corner to another. So I had to remove them. After that, all I had to do was to bring colours back. I brightened up and saturated a town with a river a bit to bring them from the fog. And there was a thing with the snowflakes on the left side of the shot, that they completely merged with clouds, so I had to add some in post to restore the feeling of the scene. In my camera bag
My Fuji X-T3 with kit 18-55 lens, K&F Concept Nano-X ND2-32+CPL and K&F Concept TM2324 II Tripod. I started photography not so long ago, so I don't have much for now.Feedback
As a complete rookie it's quite difficult for me to give any advices. I can share what I discovered with this particular shot and it is to look around with fresh eye, cause interesting shot and perspectives could be anywhere, even in common places. And even if there is a slight opportunity to take the shot, it's better to take it then regret not taking after.
