Egyptian mythology tells that the falcon god, Horus, during a battle with his uncle, Seth, to recover the treasure that he had taken from his father, Osiris, lost one of his eyes, which was replaced by the god of Wisdom Toth.
The Eye of Horus, one of the most famous symbols of Ancient Egypt, was attributed natural powers that led it to be used by the living and the dead to repel evil.
The supernatural dimension of him is based on his own name "Udyat" (the one who is complete) as a synonym for the imperturbable, what endures.
