Location
Photo taken along the golf course at the back of my house. I ride my bike almost daily after the last golfer has gone because the open spaces allow for great views. I am a Nature and Wildlife photographer and always carry one of my cameras with me. As I was returning from my half hour ride I could see that a spectacular sunset was about to take place so I took the bike up into the next mound, disMounted and ran down to shoot the silhouette against the stunning skies.Time
This shot was at about 7:30 as the sun was just about to dip behind the trees...Lighting
The light was provided by Nature. That is the exact shot as it came out of my camera. No further post processing was done.Equipment
Camera was canon 7D Mark2 with a Canon 24-105 zoom L series f/4 IS USM no filters, hand held.Inspiration
The afternoon was clear and obviously a good sunset was about to take place, so after setting up the shot, I waited for the sun to start hiding, then took the shot.Editing
No post processing on this particular photo. I shoot Raw, manual. So I exposed for what Was in front of me. I shoot to the Histogram and when this showed me the exposure was Ok I shot it. Came out MUCH better than expected. In my camera bag
I have o big roller backpack with 2 cameras, 4 lenses, speed light flash 6 batteries, cleaning kits and other accessories but if I know where I will be going I take only the one camera and the needed lens for that situation.Feedback
Read as much about the triangle exposure pyramid until you understand completely how to use it. Memorize the manual of your camera so you understand how it works. Then go out and shoot as much as possible, all the time.
