In summer you often see the beautiful white to pink or pink-striped flowers of the Field bindweed, or Morning Glory flower, on roadsides, grasslands and fields. The stems of this plant lie on the ground, but as soon as they encounter grasses or other higher growing plants, the stems can wind themselves up. Then you see the flowers that are finer and smaller than those of the Hedge bindweed also higher up in the field vegetation.
