Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in a local pair that my friend suggested not too far from where she lived.

Time

It was around 1pm. For the most part it was sunny.

Lighting

I used only one light which was my Nikon SB-910 speedlite with a softbox as a fill light. Since it was sunny the majority of the shoot. My subject wore minimal makeup so I wanted to aim for a more natural portrait.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D750 85mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4 and Nikon SB910 speedlite

Inspiration

I wanted to use as much as the surrounding scenery as I could. During this shoot is was sunny with clouds in the sky. So at times it was very bright. This shot I chose for more of a natural light and capturing it in monochrome. Especially since my subject didn't have much makeup.

Editing

I did some minor tweaks in the exposure and clarity

A Nikon D750, a speedlite and a 50mm f/1.8
