The male Scarlet Grenadier ( Lethrecista asiatica ), is apparently a common species of coastal marshes and swamps and breeds in shady forest pools.The straight abdomen of the male is red except for the last two segments which are black. The thorax is dark brown with yellow stripes. In older specimens, there's a *pruinescence on the thorax.
