Behind The Lens

Location

I live on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia and this waterfall is close to home so I didn’t have to travel far to capture this image. Buderim waterfalls is one of my favourite places to go shoot.

Time

This is one of the simplest images I’ve taken. Clearly it was taken at night time so all I had to do was wait until the sunset.

Lighting

It was all lit naturally.

Equipment

This was shot on a Sony A7RIII with a sigma lens 24-70 f-2.8

Inspiration

Steel wool photo has always look amazing to me, however I’d never seen it done where it incorporate natural into the picture. It was a way of showing now mankind interrupts nature.

Editing

Minimal processing was done on this image. Using Photoshop Lightroom I adjusted the exposure slightly and just ensured the image was better balanced.

In my camera bag

I’m a very light traveler when I already know what I want. Although I brought was my camera and tripod.

Feedback

Just go create. Mess up 100 time and then get it right. It’s worth it.
