Behind The Lens

Location

This gorgeous red fox was sitting atop a ledge right outside my slider door. I was hoping my camera could capture its beauty. I’m an amateur photographer that loves to capture nature

Time

I believe the time of day was afternoon. The sun did not negatively affect the photo; the lighting was ideal. I was amazed the fox was not scared off by my presence inside my house.

Lighting

I was fortunate the sun wasn’t causing a glare.

Equipment

This was shot with my Canon PowerShot SX720 HS with no additional equipment.

Inspiration

We had noticed this fox over the winter on our bottom deck. I was overjoyed she was still around in the spring. The absolute best outcome was that she had her kits under our deck. Talk about cuteness overload! I love all kinds of nature, & always feel blessed when I’m able to see it. Now that I have a new camera, I’m able to get some decent photos to forever capture those memories.

Editing

I believe I edited the photo with Snapseed. I enjoy that app for its variety of editing capabilities.

Well, since I’m just an amateur, I only have my camera & the battery charger!

Feedback

I’m happy I bought a “shoot & click” camera with a great zoom. I’m amazed how close up to nature you can get.
