This piece was inspired by the quote by Vicki Harrison which is as follows:
“Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”

I create it from photographs from my archive as an exercise in creating for the sake of it, as opposed to creating something intentional from scratch. It ended up being a healing process, as I process my own grief and heartache.

This image is comprised of numerous different photographs, all originals that I took, and combined in post-production.
