I usually prefer to take photos at the landing stage in the neighboring town of Hagnau - the pier there is more photogenic due to its location, it is possible to photograph the pier from the side as it is at right angles to the bank. The Immenstaader Steg, on the other hand, is at the head of a headland. But Hagnau always gets boring at some point, so I was out and about "at home" this morning. The big advantage here is that the street lights are on during the winter nights, in Hagnau they are only switched on during the shipping season.
