It was early afternoon ...

Normally I would’ve expected low clouds or even fog ... but this was an unusual day and was a surprise photo shoot

Canon t6 Rebel handheld with a long lens

Inspiration

A friend asked me to photograph her (on the sly) when she proposed to her partner. As it turned out, the partner had also planned to propose and was waiting for the ideal time.

Editing

Lightroom cleanup primarily. Some crop, some contrast.

In my camera bag

Typically my Canon and kit lenses. I may add a tripod depending on the event ... but I am primarily an urban photographer shooting on the fly ...

Feedback

Despite having lived in the City for years, this was a location I had never been to. Because this was a special one time only occasion, I went out the day before to make sure I could find the location and also determined which vantage points would be best. When the weather turned foul, I was much more prepared for the shot than I would’ve been otherwise.
