Location
I took this picture on the three peaks of lavaredo while I was on vacation with my family. Seeing how fast the clouds went (after a rainy morning) I decided to immortalize it.Time
This photo was taken in the afternoon. Just back from a walk in the rain and a tasty lunch in a cabin, I went out again to enjoy the landscape and take some shots. It was a very special day and very cold at the same time, but perhaps one of the most beautiful of the holidayLighting
There was a particular light that day, a play of shadows with low and high clouds, it gave a sense of incredible peace. Of course with a very low ISO because the sun was still high anyway.Equipment
That picture was shot with a canon EOS 1200D with an EF-S 10-18 mm f/4.5 lens. No other equipment was involvedInspiration
I live in the countryside and I would have always liked to go to the mountains, a very high place with no pollution and breathtaking views and it was like a dream come true. Personally, these are occasions that don't happen often, so I tried to get the best out of them. Usually in addition to landscapes I am passionate about photos at the stars, startrails and timelapses so I thought it was the ideal opportunity to try to do something that I could consider a good jobEditing
To tell the truth this photo did not require any special changes. Generally I always work on the RAW format which allows more editing opportunities. In this case I removed some spots caused by the camera that is no longer brand new, made the colors a little more vivid and lowered the exposure so that the photo was not too bright. However, it had to give a sense of tranquility and peace so I enhanced the green and tried not to focus attention on the restIn my camera bag
I usually carry my 3 lenses in my backpack, the classic 18-55mm from canon, the 75-300 from tamron and my ultra-wide angle from canon 10-18. In addition to some filtered lenses I always carry my cleaning kit and the timer for prolonged shots to the stars and timelapses. Obviously the tripod always tied tightly to the backpack.Feedback
The dolomites are high and particular, the weather is not always clearly identifiable due to the strong wind, so probably a day would not be enough to see the various changes in the climate, but if you find the perfect time it will not disappoint you. I recommend wearing nice warm clothes because always due to the climate there are quite consistent temperature changes.
