Seen this beautiful pond with fish as I was walking through Charlevoix, Michigan.

Went on a road trip to go spend the day by the water with family. The water was a beautiful color.

Torch Lake Sunset. Was sitting on the rocks to take this picture.

I was overlooking Skegmog Lake and Elk Lake off one of the roads in Rapid City, Michigan were I could see the fall colors and the lakes.

This photo was taken in Alden, Michigan. This is a public access to Torch Lake.

Time

This picture was taken on July 6th, 2020 at sunset over Torch Lake.

Lighting

I was watching the sunset go down with my son when I thought to catch a picture in that moment. I could see the sun's reflection in the water as the sun was setting and how the water went from being really wavy which wasnt too long before this photo; to where the waves deteriorated and the lake looked like glass.

Equipment

This shot was taken on my cell phone. It was a Samsung Galaxy A 10 e and I didnt use any filters I just tried to position the camera at the right angle to get what I was seeing at that specific moment in time.

Inspiration

I am fascinated with sunsets and especially the ones over lakes. This is my getaway during the summer with my youngest son, who also is fascinated by sunsets. The beautiful colors that take over the sky are really amazing and almost always breathe taking.

Editing

I didn't use any filters for this photo it was just the way I positioned my phone to get a picture of what I could see. I was amazed myself as to how this picture turned out.

In my camera bag

I don't have a actual camera yet, but I wish I was able to afford one to take pictures that way. I have taken pictures with my cell phones, but over the years I've learned which phones have better cameras in them to be able to take good photos. I am stuck to the Samsungs, as to me the pictures I take turn out the best for me. I have recently upgraded to a different Samsung.

Feedback

I would try different positions with whatever equipment you plan to use if your not using any filters.
