Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken from the esplanade at Machans Beach, Australia. Located near Cairns, Queensland. I had the privilege of living on the waterfront for around a year in 2018. It's a lovely part of the world and hosts a lovely community.

It's rather early, around 6 am

This shot was captured with a smart phone! Some adjustments were made to highlight the contrasts and colours

Inspiration

Living with this view every day for a year, I just couldn't resist the invitation to capture the spectacularness of it all.

Editing

Yes! I've adjusted contrast and saturation ????

In my camera bag

Besides my phone, I've a pretty stock, basic DSLR, Nikon body and I use an 18-200 Tamron lens.

Feedback

Patience, and timing.Take the shot on whatever you've got! Don't be afraid of post production and enhancing your image! The tilt angle I took this shot on adds a little drama and widens my horizon line.
