Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Colorado in the San Juan National Forest.

Time

I got up early and went exploring on the back roads. I believe it was a little after 8am when I got this shot.

Lighting

The light was the natural light from the sun filtering through the trees.

Equipment

At the time I had a Canon EOS 80D. My lens was a Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. I have a Sirui T-2205X carbon fiber tripod, and Manfrotto 496 center ball head

Inspiration

I loved the way all the trunks looked, and the yellow leaves above, and yellow leaves below.

Editing

I didn't do much post-processing. Just a few things like brighten the shadows.

In my camera bag

I have a Canon EOS R body, along with these lenses: Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8, Canon EF 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8, and Canon 100mm IS USM f/2.8 Macro lens. I keep it all in a Lowepro backpack. I have a Sirui tripod with a Manfrotto ball head.
