You have given 2020 a positive swing that is really (nice) positive, a contribution to the Year 2020 Collection. As always, the competition will be tough, which, as an added consequence, makes a possible victory taste very sweet. Good luck and probably for the … time: Happy New Year and stay healthy in 2021!

Location
This was taken in eastern Colorado. I was driving back home from sight seeing at another site. This part of Colorado is very flat and mostly farms and ranches. Makes for a great view of the weather.Time
This was taken in the late afternoon. This is normally when the storms roll in here.Lighting
The lighting was all natural. The lightening was lighting up the clouds and made for a beautiful shot of these amazing clouds. It really draws the eye in.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS Rebel T5. The last weekend I was using this camera before I changed to my EOS R. When I saw this storm rolling in I pulled over and pulled out the tripod so I could capture lightening.Inspiration
Colorado is a great place for taking pictures of storms. I have been wanting to get a lightening pic and when I saw this I knew it was my opportunity to keep honing my skills.Editing
I did some post processing in LRC. I wanted to make sure the definition of the clouds stood out more as well as the light in the clouds against the dark rain in the background. Since it was so dark I also wanted to bring out a little more of the green in the grass to balance against the yellow fields and the road.In my camera bag
I always have my Sigma 18-35mm for landscape shots as well as my as well as other lenses. Since my neck injury it is hard to carry them all with me so my hubby gets to be my pack horse.. LOL. I am currently searching for a new flash to keep in my bag and a few more filters.Feedback
Patience is the number one thing to pack. Find a good spot to set up for that perfect view you have scouted out. I take many test shots getting the right setting as best as possible. The weather changes quite drastically in Colorado from minute to minute so being patient is a must.
