Inspiration

As I was walking back from my original location, I noticed the morning sunlight reflecting off the water and old pier. The colors, shapes and leading lines just drew me in to the view and I had to capture this moment.

Editing

After basic post-processing of brightness, contrast and such, I applied an HDR preset from Lightroom to the image and then fine tuned the rest of the settings to where I felt it looked best.

Be prepared for anything. I had no intention of capturing this image, but when I saw it, I had to have it. It was cold out and I waded out in the chilly, rough waters to get the right framing.
