Nice idea and dream come true beautifully. Like the location in the woodlands and the misty/fogy effect gives the view closer to reality into the dream...nice work and congrats on the feature.

Very interesting story telling photo, the mist is an Erie look and the pose of the model is superb!

Location
This photograph was taken in a forest in Essex, UK on a foggy morningTime
At sunrise, around 7amLighting
It was foggy, i had been waiting for fog for a good while in order to produce this image. Just ambient light was used,Equipment
I used a canon 5d mkIII with my trusty three legged thing. A tripod was essential to this shoot. We also had reflectors and flashes but ended up not needing them for the shoot.Inspiration
I always have liked the idea of creating levitation photography of someone in a victorian white night gown. England hit a foggy patch and when walking in the forest something clicked- so i started looking for the perfect tree to use when i had the correct light and props.Editing
Yes! This image was composed of two shots the first was simply the empty forest in the fog. The second was of the model sitting on a chair propped against the tree. It took some time to get the shot right, originally the shot was meant to be taken floating almost vertical, legs floaty and toes pointed up. But the ground was wet and sloped which means props for levitation were unstable. So with both shots taken ( one of the forest one of the chair and model) it was time to merge them in photoshop. I had to make sure the images were perfectly aligned, with the empty forest scene on the bottom layer. I could then erase through the top layer thus removing the chair and giving the appearance of levitation. In my camera bag

Make sure you use a sturdy tripod! Make sure the two exposures are the se settings and the focus is manually set. Levitation merging takes time to perfect, so if it doest go right first time, try try again!
