Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Little Deer Isle, Maine while I was on vacation.

Time

This is a foggy sunrise taken just after sunup. I knew it would be foggy, that is why I went after this shoot.

Lighting

The light is all by nature, so it is natural of course. My only adjustment was the ISO which I do not recall.

Equipment

I used a Canon Rebel T3i with an 18-55mm lens, and it was hand held.

Inspiration

I always go out around the Islands in the area because it is full of potential pictures no matter what time of day. This day, I checked the tides and sunrise charts because you always need to be aware of the conditions around you. I got up just a bit later than I wanted to, but went anyway. I also always make time to go out because you never know if you will get another chance.

Editing

The most I might of done is make sure the horizon line is straight. Nothing bugs me more than a crooked photo unless it is meant to be that way.

In my camera bag

I normally carry the Canon Rebel T3i, sometimes the Rebel t5 (even both I have a double harness set up). For lens' I have a 18-55mm, 70-300mm zoom and a 10-18mm wide angle, I use a lens ball and have a tripod.

Feedback

Just get out there no matter time of year, conditions, storms or such. Always carry a good assortment of gear, and keep on clicking.
