The photo was taken in my kitchen south Wales. It was for my daughter's art project where she picked self portrait subject. She used this as part of the project and got a GCSE pass in artTime
It was take at about 5 o'clock in the evening when I came home from work my daughter said quick I need a self portrait picture for my art project, as teenagers do leave everything to the last moment so the was not a thought out photo but I'm happy how it came outLighting
Lighting was a speedlight flash on a flexible cable with a black background pop up round reflector and the speedlight pointed in different positions untill I thought it looked okEquipment
Tripod is a manfroto , camera a entry level Nikon D3300 with a £20 sigma 70 to 105 lense bought off ebayInspiration
My daughter inspires me to do everything including taking photos of herEditing
I did a bit of post processing in Snapseed on the mobile phone.turned to black and white and adjusted a few things untill I was happyIn my camera bag
The equipment I normally keep in my bag is probably pretty minimal. IE polarising filter and remote shutter release I sometimes take the tamron 18-270 lense but mostly use the kit lense and a Nikkor 50mm primeFeedback
Just give it a go. I'm no professional but a bit of patients and trial and error not that I had a lot of time to get the mentioned shot. But take lots of photos and experiment most people delete more photos than they keep anyway
