Behind The Lens

Location

Springfield, Mo. at a park that is in town.

Time

4 pm or around the later afternoon

Lighting

It was an extremely overcast day. This is nothing but natural light.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D5000 and that is all.

Inspiration

The model, the dress, the snow. Sometimes when you are just walking around you decide to just act and use what you have. Hopefully something great will come of it!

Editing

I edit all my images in light room. This particular model, I rarely have to do any editing to, she is naturally beautiful. I enhanced her eyes and brought up the saturation of the dress but other than that, this is pretty much a straight shot.

In my camera bag

My camera which is now a Canon T3i and 3 lenses. I almost always just use my 50 mm. It is my go to lens always.

Feedback

Anytime I take an image my main focus is to capture emotion. I don't just want another picture, I want a picture that tells a story, I want it to be art. The creative process and finding a way to speak to the viewers is the best part of being a photographer.
