Behind The Lens

Location

12 Apostles, Great Ocean Road, Victoria Australia,

Morning, around 9am, as the image is front lit, and the sun is behind me.

The light was fairly even, cloud was dispersing,

NIKON D850 Nikon 24-85mm (52mm) no other equipment used

Inspiration

Have wanted to take this photo for the last 4 years. The opportunity didn't present until Jan 28th 2020.I knew when I needed to be there and the conditions I needed.

Editing

Yes, enhanced the image with the use of minor adjustments to contrast, highlights, shadows and clarity.

In my camera bag

Camera plus 3 lenses based on what I am looking to capture.

Feedback

Plan the event, look for the best perspective, watch for the best lighting and follow the ISO, Aperture, Shutter principles of creating the balance. I always look at the available light then set my ISO and Aperture accordingly, shutter is usually my final consideration.
