Location
This image was made at the famous morning balloon launching at Bagan, Myanmar.Time
This was taken fairly early in the morning. Our guide had taken us to scout out a special location the day before which worked out great for the morning we went to photograph the liftoff. We were at the location well before sunrise.Lighting
One thing we found in Asian countries we have visited, the sunrises tend to start off rather lack lustre and then explode into warm tones as the sun begins to rise and shine through the humidity of the early morning as seen here.Equipment
Nothing special for equipment, just my Nikon D7500 with a 18-300mm zoom lens, hand held. No filters used.Inspiration
The morning balloon liftoff in Bagan, Myanmar is world famous. Getting to where the balloons were actually taking off might have been more interesting, but I was happy with the results we got.Editing
Only minor post-processing done like slight contrast bump.In my camera bag
I usually carry two camera bodies, both Nikon. My go to 18-300mm zoom lens, a 10-20 wide zoom. Try to pack as light as possible.Feedback
If you are in at a special destination, be sure to get out and photograph what makes its special. If its the famous balloon liftoff in Bagan, Myanmar or the famous sunrise at Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia. If possible, try to find a unique location from which to shoot by scouting out possible locations a day or two beforehand.
