Behind The Lens

Location

Taken during a walk around Cardiff on a rainy day. As a street photographer, features on the road always stand out to me - this van in particular.

Time

It was just after mid day.

Lighting

Despite being an drizzly day, I still had enough light to stop down to capture some of the context in-focus

Equipment

Sony A7 with a nifty 35mm f2.8 pancake lens handheld.

Inspiration

Just how decorated and weathered the van appeared on the street.

Editing

To focus on the contrast created by the vans various decorations, I chose to make the image black and white. Other than that, I only strived for enhanced naturalism.

In my camera bag

Most of the time, I only carry a bag in-case it rains. Just me and my camera.
