Nice shot!

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in an alleyway in a small town in Alabama! Interestingly enough it's typically crowded with trash cans but if you're able to maneuver around them the light shines through the buildings just right!

Time

This shot was taken at the beginning of the golden hour.

Lighting

This photo was taken with all natural lighting, any light we had was coming from the end of the alleyway so we just used that as our backlight!

Equipment

This shot was captured with a Canon 5D Mark iii, and (if I remember correctly) a 50mm lens. If I'm not using my 50mm I'm using my 85mm!

Inspiration

Karsen and I were going for a warm fall theme in this session. I helped her pick out her outfits, eventually deciding on a cozy sweater. Ultimately the inspiration was just being cozy in fall!

Editing

I made some small adjustments, I use self made "presets" for all of my photos to give them a warm and bright look!

In my camera bag

I always carry my Canon 5D Mark iii and 85mm. I keep the essentials as well such as a 50mm and 70-200mm for distance.

Feedback

Grab a friend and just get creative! Look for locations you typically wouldn't use. I like to look for a lot of leading lines and bold colors!
