The man who looked like a woman embraced a cow sitting on the back of an elephant. I'd gone to the Shiv temple opposite our house. In the inner sanctum at the centre is the black linga stone. It was anointed with vermilion and flowers. Water dripped above from a container hung on the ceiling on a five rupee note placed at the top of the lingum. These currency notes are made up of tough material. As I make my way to the second floor I see a flowering tree. Yellow red flowers opened itself up to bees and flies. A round brown fruit hung from the upper trunk. It had green shiny oval shaped leaves. I had seen that tree there since my childhood or at least I think it is that same tree as I imagine it now but I'd never known of it flowering.
