Cheers Keith... five days in North Wales and I hardly saw a cloud in the sky. Unheard of.

All your photos of Llangollen are particularly interesting and the light you captured is very beautiful. Also the stillness of the river Dee here, on the right with those beautiful rocks is very appealing... I really must put it on my bucket list! Magnificent capture Mick!!

Thanks, Kristina! The stillness of the water is a result of the calmness and nice weather on the day, as well as the long exposure used. On the right the inlet created by the rocks helps with this, but on the left Dee is streaming down fast and furious, an effect best perceived audibly: you have to be there and listen to it. Treading carefully, I went a long way in the river and, to my relief, I wasn't the only lunatic.

I used three-exposure technigue for this Mark. Not always the easiest, but when it works it eliminates high contrast thrown all ove the scene.

Beautiful Mick...different angle, different lighting, so serene and peaceful. Must head back your way one of these fine days xx

Thank you, my dearest... I should have bought the lottery on that long weekend. If you are in North Wales for a whole five days and don't see a cloud in the sky, fortune must have smiled to you. Most times the weather is bound to be diametrically opposite though, one thing to bear in mind xxx

When you get the river in a good mood, it is a pleasure treading on the rocks and taking photos, Dave. When it rains in the mountains and it floods, kayaking becomes a challenge, LOL!

Cheers, Steve! Yes, indeed, inviting when the weather is calm and hasn't rained. If it has you can't see these rocks.

Dearest Sonja, there is one thing we definitely can't say we lack in this country and that is water. Ah... and nature. In everything else, we are miles behind. Thanks a lot x
