some serious catalysis taking place. Well spotted and taken. I like that one'eyed look.

Location
This photo was taken in Lisbon, Portugal in one of the old quarters of the city where there are many stray cats.Time
It was about 4 PM on a nice summers day during our holidays. We had just finished our lunch when I saw this mother cat with her two kittens resting in front of the restaurant.Lighting
In this old part of Lisbon the streets are very narrow, so the sunlight was blocked by the 3 story high houses. This offers a nice light without the dark shadows and highlights of direct sun light.Equipment
I have a Lumix DMC-TZ100, all my photos are taken with this little miracle of a point and shoot camera...The best thing about this camera is that it has a Leica lens and it is very easy to carry with you because it practically fits in your back pocket.Inspiration
This is a typical downtown city scene with old buildings, graffiti and stray cats. The fun thing about this photo for me was the fact that all three cats have just one eye open! I like to photograph the dilapidated buildings and street life found in old European cities. The colors and structures as well as the energy of everything that has happened always intrigues me.Editing
I did a little post-processing in Lightroom like cropping, and in this case some highlighting to make the paws and eyes stand out a bit more.In my camera bag
I don't have a bag of equipment at all, only my Lumix DMC-TZ100, a wonderful intelligent automatic pocket camera which practically fits in my back pocket. It shows that you do not have to use expensive and big cameras to achieve nice results...Feedback
Take the time and effort to look around you and be surprised to find that one can take a nice photo in almost every square foot anywhere! Capturing wonderful shots is a matter of trying to look through a pinhole without forgetting the whole picture. Look around you and see that everywhere beauty can be found if you are willing to see it! Make sure all the distracting items are gone, to achieve maximum focus on the details you want to show... In creating a nice photo of animals it's important to take the subject from the side or the front and as low as possible! If you take this photo from a higher point of view, you loose contact with your subject. If you look at a subject to photograph, you have to try to realize what you want to achieve. Try to find the good light, the right point of view and the best composition... And most of all, take more shots with slightly different settings so you can choose the best one, once you get home and open your laptop when the magic of today's digital world begins... I always crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop and edit the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
