Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my studio in Almese (Turin-Italy) where I also work and live.

Time

I took it in the afternoon of a day of May around 4 pm

Lighting

For this shoot I used a flash bowens light

Equipment

I used a D3200 - 50mm 1,4 . time 80/1 f 2,8 iso 400 Freehand shootingbowens illuminator for continuous light at 6 o'clock.

Inspiration

the inspiration was the link between nature and man... a synergy of life! A way to show the harmony of two compinents of the earth that sometimes are seen in opposition.

Editing

the shot is made directly in black and white jpg, the post-production with Kodak filters on photpshop for the smooth skin of the object.

In my camera bag

I use mixed equipment, both canon and nikon, I usually carry a pair of D4 and 1D mark 4 camera bodies with 85mm f1,2 and 50mm f1,4, I never use a tripod and I prefer the use of natural light without compensating with flashes, while in the studio (pose hall) I use Bowens Gemini 400 radio-controlled illuminators.

Feedback

I recommend the use of fixed optics for greater openness and better use of "depth of field", the zoom is versatile but of limited quality.
